Manufacturing - Cutting

Because we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and the high standard of our workmanship, Versapak only use the very best and most appropriate materials available.
So as not to compromise the versatility and usability of these materials, we use highly accurate cutting machines.

We have invested heavily our cutting equipment - our fully-automated Lectra cutting machine represents a significant outlay of over €200,000 and consistently proves its worth by achieving an average material yield of 99%. This machine is capable of running practically unsupervised for entire shifts at a time, and at maximum speed of a metre of material per second, can achieve 20,000 metres of cutting every day.

While the Lectra machine offers a speedy and cost-effective cutting option, we also run a manual cutting setup. Through the use of cutting dies and good old-fashioned scissors, our staff can manually produce smaller runs and sample pieces to our usual high standard.

Versapak use advanced CAD programs to ensure absolute precision in the shaping and sizing of fabrics - this software even instructs our operators of how best to load the material.  This allows us to create effective products to any specification - we are more than comfortable crafting items in irregular or unusual shapes.

With four decades’ experience in manufacturing, Versapak produce quality reusable pouches and bags which are trusted by many high-profile clients across the globe.
If you haven't found the right bag for you, don't worry - we'll custom make one for you.  Tell us the details, send us a design and we will make a bag to meet your requirements.
As our bags are intended to be re-usable, they are constructed from a range of durable and high-quality materials.
We use highly precise cutting equipment to ensure that our materials are shaped exactly to our customers’ specifications.
Our printing capabilities allow us to complete your item with company logos, graphics, and individual numbers.
Versapak’s team of experienced machinists relish the opportunity to create unique bags, with 60% of our items being bespoke jobs.
Seam welding forms a durable and visually pleasing bond, and is an excellent high-speed alternative to sewing.
As well as fabrics, we also produce millions of plastic pieces per year, including seals and vital bag components.
The satisfaction of our customers, product quality and reliability are key quality objectives for us.
