Manufacturing - Sewing
All Versapak sewn bags are individually machine-stitched by the skilled production team at our Romanian factory. Even though we produce over a million bags per year, every single one is quality checked in compliance with BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
If that sounds like a lot of work, that’s because it is! We believe it’s worthwhile to ensure that every product that leaves our door is up to scratch, and it’s this rigorous attention to detail that has gained Versapak its incomparable reputation over the years.
As we offer such a great scope of customisation, approximately 60% of our sewn bags are bespoke. It is therefore essential that we employ reliable and flexible personnel to fulfil these specific orders, and vital that each of our machinists has the required level of skill to perform to the required standard. Romania is renowned for its rich history in textiles, meaning that there is no shortage of passionate workers - all of our factory staff have each amassed considerable experience and are trained on all areas. In fact, our machinists have racked up an average of eight years each within the company. We keep morale high by offering incentives, and maintain our high standards by holding regular training sessions.
We currently run a three-shift pattern involving four teams on separate production lines, which gives us the scope to assign different jobs to different teams depending on their requirements and levels of complexity. Between our manual, semi-automated, and automated shifts, we have the capacity to run over 3,000 sewing hours per week.
Our commitment to delivering quality means that you can rest assured in the knowledge that your order from Versapak will be of the highest level of quality.
